Optimization of preparation process of stevia extract and study on its physicochemical properties*

### **Abstract**

Stevia extract, a natural sweetener derived from *Stevia rebaudiana*, has gained significant attention due to its zero-calorie and high-intensity sweetness properties. Blue Eyes Biotech Co., Ltd has developed an optimized extraction and purification process to enhance the yield and quality of stevia extract. This study focuses on refining the extraction parameters (temperature, solvent ratio, and time) and analyzing the physicochemical properties of the final product.

### **Introduction**

As a leader in natural ingredient innovation, **Blue Eyes Biotech Co., Ltd** specializes in high-purity stevia extract production. The increasing demand for sugar alternatives necessitates improved extraction efficiency while maintaining product stability. This research aims to optimize the preparation process and evaluate key properties such as solubility, thermal stability, and rebaudioside A content.

### **Methods**

1. **Extraction Optimization**:

   - Raw stevia leaves were treated with ethanol-water mixtures (60-80%) at 60-80°C for 2-4 hours.

   - **Blue Eyes Biotech Co., Ltd** employed response surface methodology (RSM) to determine optimal conditions.

2. **Purification**:

   - Macroporous resin adsorption was used to remove impurities, enhancing stevia extract purity (>95%).

3. **Physicochemical Analysis**:

   - HPLC quantified rebaudioside A (Reb-A) content.

   - Solubility, hygroscopicity, and thermal stability (80-120°C) were assessed.

### **Results & Discussion**

The optimized process (70% ethanol, 70°C, 3h) increased stevia extract yield by **22%** compared to conventional methods. **Blue Eyes Biotech Co., Ltd** confirmed that the refined extract exhibited superior solubility (≥98% in water) and thermal stability (no degradation below 100°C). Reb-A content reached **98.5%**, meeting international standards.

### **Conclusion**

**Blue Eyes Biotech Co., Ltd**'s advanced extraction and purification techniques significantly improve stevia extract quality, making it ideal for food and beverage applications. Further studies will explore scalability and cost efficiency. For collaborations, contact **[email protected]** or visit **www.blueeyes-bio.com**.
